------Introduction-------
Omamori is an amulet that is held in Japan when you want to make a wish or ward off bad luck. Omamori are sold at various places, including shrines and temples, and are held by people who entrust their wishes to them. Some people believe that when a charm is broken or lost, it is a sign that a wish will come true or that bad luck will be avoided.
Hiiragi's bracelet is a talisman that always contains one zelkova bead carved by a Buddhist sculptor to pray for the fulfillment of wishes and warding off evil spirits. Please enjoy the amulet that comes close to your wishes.

[Monthly Bracelet] April AONIYOSHI
This year, we would like to trace each month through designs inspired by makurakotoba, classical Japanese poetic epithets.
Aoni (青丹) refers to an earth pigment, similar to malachite used in traditional mineral paints, with a muted, mossy green tone—much like the color of the green garnet used in this piece today.
Because high-quality aoni was once found in the hills around Nara, the word became a poetic epithet for the city itself. Originally referring to the land as a source of fine earth, it gradually came to express admiration for Nara as a prosperous and flourishing capital.
It may be surprising to imagine now, but in the 7th–8th centuries, Nara was the only place in Japan where political power, culture, and economic activity were fully concentrated—a city at the height of its splendor.
At that time, what is now Kyoto was little more than scattered settlements and farmland, not yet even a true city. Tokyo, meanwhile, essentially did not exist.
And yet, through such unimaginable changes across time, the poetry still remains—quietly carrying those distant ages into the present.
The green garnets in this bracelet, with their natural variations in tone, are intentionally mixed rather than uniform—each bead slightly different, quietly charming.
Together with stones believed to support vitality and good fortune (garnet), ward off negativity (smoky quartz), encourage continuity and growth (mother-of-pearl), and enhance prosperity and work success (rutilated quartz), this piece carries the spirit of a thriving capital.
We invite you to enjoy it while reflecting on the brilliance of an ancient city.
